December 1st, 2020, Shenzhen: Seeed Studio, the hardware innovation platform has today announced an official collaboration with Italian leading IoT development platform, Arduino to create the all-new Arduino Sensor Kit. The newly-launched kit provides entry-level hardware at an affordable price, making it ideal for beginners to start learning IoT with ease.
The Arduino Sensor Kit is a joint production between Arduino and Seeed, which has the dual trademark of Arduino and Seeed. This product is made for beginners who have just started using Arduino, to explore the possibilities of electronics and programming. This kit teaches how to connect and program basic Grove modules, it integrates 10 Grove modules and Grove Base Shield on a single PCB board. Users can start the programming and Arduino learning with all the sensors, actuators, and OLED displays on the Arduino Sensor Kit.
Seeed Grove is an open-source, modular, and ready-to-use toolset designed to optimize for simplicity and rapid prototyping. This kit includes a Base Shield to which the various Grove modules can be connected via the wires on the PCB, to create fun and existing projects.
The Arduino Sensor Kit is a plug & play addition to the Arduino Uno to get you started with electronics and programming. It integrates 10 modules on a single PCB, including 5 sensors, an OLED display, and actuators. Best of all, those modules are pre-wired, so no breadboard, no welding, and even no wiring!
This kit was created in partnership with Arduino and provides the maker community with the opportunity to build projects with minimal effort of both wiring and coding. It is also an introduction to the Grove system and provides a convenient solution for beginners and hobbyists to extend their creativity and projects to include Grove modules.
Eric Pan, CEO, Seeed commented: “We have a long history of collaborating with Arduino, Seeed will always be willing to provide long-term support to Arduino, and we very appreciate that Arduino has given us recognition and trust for the two parties to create this product together. In the future, we hope to continuously serve more Arduino users together and build better products for the maker community from around the world.”
