Arduino Core mbed 2.0 released by Arduino supports RP2040 boards!

In a recent previous article, we mentioned that Arduino will port their Arduino core to bring Arduino IDE, libraries and more to RP2040-based boards. Nevertheless, the developer community, more specifically Earle F. Philhower, taken it upon himself to create an Arduino core that supports all RP2040-based microcontroller boards. This allows all the RP2040-based boards to be used with the Arduino IDE!

However, Arduino recently tweeted about the new Arduino Core mbed 2.0 release that supports Raspberry Pi RP2040 boards including Raspberry Pi Pico and their upcoming Arduino Nano RP2040 Connect.

Arduino used mbed previously for their Arduino Nano 33 BLE board as there was no official Arduino core available for the microcontroller. Arduino did it again for the Raspberry Pi RP2040! You may check out a tutorial here by CNX Software!
