When you think about interactive signage, what jumps to mind? Maybe a screen with a voice like Alexa, or a flashlight that sings and lights up?
Traditionally, signage is used to display information, but what if it could talk, sing, flash, or even move? That’s exactly the kind of creative thinking we want to encourage through our Interactive Signage Contest. It’s all about finding new ways to interact with the spaces around us.
Over the past two months, we’ve received over 40 fun and creative projects from makers in China and around the world. To spark even more inspiration, we’ve also taken a suggestion from our community members to highlight some of the cool projects we’ve seen shared so far.

Public voting is now open and will continue through August! After that, a panel of professional judges will review all submissions and assign final scores.
Still have questions about the interactive signage topic? No worries! Next Tuesday, we’re inviting the judges of the contest to share their thoughts and insights. Additionally, we’ll review the rules and highlight some of the most interesting projects from the interactive contest.
New Prize Reveal
To encourage more ideas to spark, we upgraded the prizes; we added another $1,700 cash prize to the pool, and inviting you to join!
Moreover, this year’s Maker Faire Shenzhen will take place on November 15–16, we’d love to invite not just the winners, but also passionate and active community contributors to attend this incredible celebration with us.
If your project stands out for creativity, engagement, or just plain fun, you might be selected—even if you’re not the top prize winner! We’ll cover your transport and hotel, and showcase your project at the special exhibition area!
