This solar panel is made of single-crystal material that performs high solar energy transformation efficiency at 17%. It has a fine resin surface and sturdy back suitable for outdoor environments. A 2mm JST connecter is attached to the penal, which makes it perfect to team up with most of our can-use-solar-power-supply boards, like Seeeduino microcontroller series,Lipo Rider charging boards seriesandXBee carrier WSN products series.
The typical open circuit voltage is around 5V, depending on light intensity. In those bright summer days with clear sky and big sun, the peak OC voltage can rush up to 10V. To prevent any damage to boards that accept a narrow range of input voltage, like Lipo Rider, it’s recommended to check whether the OC voltage is safe before any connection.

Could I use a simple 5V regulator on the output of the panel to make it"safe"for the LiPo Rider Pro? I am concerned that the OC voltage and even the max output voltage might damage the circuit board.

6.6V @ 1.25A
Voc is 8.1V

Arduino boards use 9 volt batteries.

Hello. I just received my panel, but when connecting it to LiPo rider Pro, it didn't charge -- then checked and terminals were soldered REVERSED (red on - and black on +).

Can i run the LiPo Rider pro with this solar module? i??m asking because the module offers in direct sun more than 5,5 Volt. Actually 6,4 Volt in March! I think it will rise up to 7 Volt or above in Summer in direct sun. I don??t want to damage
