Description

The Infrared Emitter is used to transmit infrared signals through an infrared LED, while there is an Infrared receiver to get the signals on the other side . An infrared LED is like any other LED, with its color centered around 940nm. We can use the emitter not only to transmit data or commands, but also to emulate remotes to control your home appliance using an Arduino. The Infrared Emitter can transmit signals reliable up to 10 meters. Beyond 10 meters, the receiver may not get the signals.

Now the The Infrared Emitter v1.2 is available, we optimized the circuit design to increase the transmission distance.

For all Grove users (especially beginners), we provide you guidance PDF documents. Please download and read through Preface - Getting Started and Introduction to Grove before your using of the product.

Is it possible to access this device via the Raspberry Pi? Does it expose itself as a serial device, or is it only accesible via the GPIO library?

im not from seeed, but i guess 99% this is true:"you can panelize to save the cost, but you need to cut the board by yourself"-that means no extra cutting option, you would have to just fit one board into 5x10, instead of 2, if you want a cut.

Does it work with 3V supply and 3V TX logic signal? I want to use with a board which is completely powered with a 3V coin battery.

Hi.3.3V could supply this work.I think that you use 5V better than 3V~~

Hi, it's working with UNO, but I am unable to make it work with Arduino Mega ADK or Seeduino ADK. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

Hello Muhammad, it is compatible with Mega ADK and Seeeduino ADK. When programming/compiling, you need to change the option of the board in Arduino IDE from Arduino Uno to Arduino ADK.
