The Grove - Gas Sensor(MQ5) module is useful for gas leakage detecting(in home and industry). It can detect LPG, natural gas, town gas and so on. Based on its fast response time. measurements can be taken as soon as possible. Also the sensitivity can be adjusted by the potentiometer.
For all Grove users (especially beginners), we provide you guidance PDF documents. Please download and read through Preface - Getting Started and Introduction to Grove before your using of the product.
Note: Hot-swapping the grove may lead to IC burnout, please turn off the power of main board before swapping grove.

I found that the sensor pins are identical from other sensors. Can I replace or remove the sensor from one driver to another driver? Can I buy a CO2 sensor from the 3rd party and wire it on the Grove Gas driver?
Thanks.
Hi. I am trying to build a gas detection system using the arduino mega, is The Grove-Gas Sensor(MQ5) compatible with the arduino? If it is, how do I send the signal from the sensor to the arduino? (Meaning what type of cable, servo cable or other type)
Will it detect ozone? If so what range?
Could you please let me know if this is suitable for smoke detection or should I use Twig gas sensor MQ2 - and to be used with an Arduino
