New Product Post
Hello everyone. We have a good amount of new products to talk about this week. Also, there’re only three days left for the Toy Hacking Contest application. Don’t miss the opportunity to get a $200 gift certificate, apply now!
We have Seeeduino Stalker – waterproof solar kit for this week. This kit is based on Seeeduino Stalker v2.0 which is an Arduino-compatible Wireless Sensor Network node with plenty of features, and its modular structure and onboard peripherals make it convenient to log sensor data on a periodic basis. The Seeeduino Stalker is a candidate for your tracking, monitoring and controlling projects. Moreover, it has a plastic waterproof enclosure so that you can even put it in the water or such special conditions.
We also have a new NFC shield. NFC stands for Near Field Communication, and this shield is a NFC interface for Arduino built around the popular NXP PN532 integrated circuit. It provides all necessary circuits for PN532 such as 27.12 MHz crystal, power supply. It also breaks out the I/O pins of PN532 for easy access. The communication between Arduino and NFC shield is via SPI.
Another new shield for this week. Solar Charger shield v2.0 is an Arduino-compatible stackable platform that can act as adaptive battery power supply or energy harvester for in-field charging. The maximum current provided by this shield can get up to 700mA. You may use various types of battery just to shift up to 5V output, or put on Li-ion battery and solar panel to form an autonomous sensor unit.
We have a new Mini DDS Function Generator. This is a low cost DDS generator but has full functions. It’s easy-to-use and able to produce many different kinds of waveform. It’s an ideal test/experimental tool for electronics hobbyists and students.
A new member of Grove system. Stem – Motor Shield is a nice tidy platform for robotics and mechanics, which based on H-bridge driver Chip L298N Motor Driver Integrated Circuit. It can power two brushed DC motors or one 4-wire two-phase stepper motor. It requires a 6V to 15V power supply to power the motor and has an onboard 5V voltage regulator which can power the main board.
