Here let us introduce Seeed’s new customization carrier board series work with NVIDIA Jetson Module, such as Jetson Nano/Xavier NX/TX2 NX, to extend the capabilities on Artificial Intelligence, Edge Computing, Machine Learning, Autonomous Robotics.
A carrier board is a hardware unit that complements a Computer on Module (CoM). Generally speaking, it has two basic functions, that is, to host the module and to provide extended peripherals, such as necessary interfaces and power supply.
We released Jetson Mate ($169.00) which can carry up to 4 NVIDIA Jetson Nano/NX SoMs earlier this year and gained great feedback from companies that need clusters on their projects and research. There is an onboard 5-port Gigabit switch enabling the 4 SoMs to communicate with each other. All the 3 peripheral SoMs can be powered on or off separately. With it, developers can easily build their own Jetson Cluster.
Considering that overheating is caused when the GPU is under heavy load, so we add a cooling fan and a case to make Jetson Mate Cluster Mini ($199.00)

A20x, a series of High-performance, Interface-rich NVIDIA Jetson Nano / Xavier NX/ TX2 NX Compatible Custom Carrier Boards
We develop A203, A205, and A206 in view of:
- better replacement of the original carrier board in NVIDIA development kit
- various scenarios are constantly coming up
A206 has the same size as the official NVIDIA carrier board, but we add more peripherals to make it more powerful. Besides, A206 is compatible with both Nano and NX modules and allows you to freely switch between two NVIDIA modules on A206 carrier.
We make A203 by reducing the size of the official NVIDIA carrier board while retaining all original peripherals and adding additional functional interfaces. Conversely, A205 is twice the size of the NVIDIA official carrier board and has 5 SATA interfaces. It gives A205 considerable storage space.
A206, perfect replacement for NVIDIA® Jetson Xavier™ NX carrier custom board, compatible with both Jetson Nano and NX
A206 is the perfect replacement for NVIDIA® Jetson Xavier™ NX carrier board, and it allows you to freely switch between Nano and NX according to your need.
A206 provides HDMI 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet, USB3.0, M.2 key E wifi / BT, M.2 key M, CSI camera, RS232, CAN, PIO, I2C, I2S fans, and other rich peripheral interfaces. It has the same functional design and size as the carrier board of NVIDIA® Jetson Xavier™ NX DEVELOPER KIT.
Basically, A206 can work with an NVIDIA Jetson module mentioned above to achieve graphic AI applications. To be more specific, with the NVIDIA Jetson Nan/Xavier NX/TX2 NX module assembled, it could support NVIDIA JetPack, which includes a board support package (BSP), Linux OS, NVIDIA CUDA®, cuDNN, and TensorRT™ software libraries for deep learning, computer vision, GPU computing, multimedia processing, and much more.
With its multiple camera connectors, it is also suitable for complicated AI graphical applications such as Automated Optical Inspection, In Video Action, Robot control, Drone, etc.
A203, compact and all-in-one design, for end-to-end AI robot applications in Manufacturing, Logistics, Retails, Agriculture and more
It has an all-in-one design. In order to realize additional storage without increasing the overall volume, A203 uses M.2 key M SSD to replace SATA interfaces.
Besides, A203 provides HDMI 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet, USB3.0, USB 2.0 (w / OTG function) M.2 key E Wifi / BT, M.2 key M solid-state drive, CSI camera, RS232, SD card, CAN, PIO, I2C, I2S fans, and other rich peripheral interfaces which are suitable for narrow and small operation environment.
It is also suitable for small size AI graphical applications such as smart-city IoT edge devices, NVR, Home robots, UAV, Unmanned boats, and Unmanned submarines which need to have lightweight, low power consumption, and small overall design.
A203 Version 2 is an updated version of A203. It adds additional pins and one USB 3.0 20-pin ZIF Connector.
It is still a high-performance, interface rich NVIDIA Jetson Nano / Xavier NX/TX2 NX compatible carrier board, providing HDMI 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet, USB3.0, M.2 key E Wifi / BT, M.2 key M solid-state drive, CSI camera, RS232, SD card, CAN, PIO, I2C, I2S, fan, and other rich peripheral interfaces.
Besides the basic scenarios of A203, it can also be used in smart office, smart city, smart agriculture, and healthcare or robotics.
A205, with 5 SATA and 6 CSI camera connections, good for Automated Optical Inspection, Drone, 3D modeling and more
Functionally speaking, there is not so much difference between A203 and A205, besides the storage. Compared with A203, A205 includes an AD/DC power adapter and has 2x Gigabit Ethernet, 2x HDMI, and 4x USB 3.0 Type-A (Integrated USB 2.0) and 1x USB 2.0 Type C(Support OTG).
More importantly, A205 has up to 6 CSI camera connectors and up to 5 SSD connectors. Its rich SATA and CSI Camera interfaces make it good for Automated Optical Inspection, In Video Action, Robot control, Drone, 3D modeling etc.
EX1, 4G interface and Nano-SIM Card Slot provided, for outdoor projects with long-distance communication
The EX1 carrier board has nearly the same size as the carrier board in NVIDIA® Jetson Xavier™ NX developer kit, but it could work well with both Jetson Nano module and Jetson TX2 NX.
It provides several connectors with industry-standard pinouts to support additional functionality beyond what is integrated on the main platform board. Due to the 4G interface and nano sim card slot provided, EX1 is pretty suitable for outdoor projects which need long-distance communication.
It is suitable for intelligent edge devices such as urban smart parking lot management, robots, drones, smart cameras, and portable medical equipment. Also, it is good for portrait tracking and suspicious object detection in special fields.
After learning and training, it can be deployed to image terminal guidance, underwater facility inspection, and rescue, etc. With the NVIDIA module and functional extension carrier board, people can quickly build efficient and high-performance video analysis applications and realize the rapid development and deployment of high-performance video recognition.
