Pi Day Celebration: Raspberry Pi Projects Sharing

Seeed has partnered with Raspberry Pi for over 10 years, proudly earning recognition as an approved reseller in 2018 and as a design partner in 2021. At Seeed Studio, we offer a diverse array of IoT devices built upon the foundation of Raspberry Pi technology. From routers and gateways to HMIs, our product lineup caters to a wide range of needs within the IoT space. Moreover, our comprehensive suite of custom design and manufacturing services empowers clients to bring their unique visions to life, from PCB prototyping to full-scale production and global distribution.

Seeed is deeply committed to nurturing the Raspberry Pi community. We’d love to invite you to join our Pi Day projects sharing webinar on March 14th to celebrate Raspberry Pi Day. This time around, we’re excited to feature four esteemed members from the community who will be sharing their captivating projects. Let’s dive into the spotlight of their sharings:

Speaker 1: Kerim Satirli

Kerim is a senior developer advocate at HashiCorp, where he coaches operators and developers on sustainable infrastructure and orchestration workflows.

And he will share the project: Meet “Baedge”, an e-paper based, fault-tolerant smart conference badge with a built-in web server.

Speaker 2: Gabriel Coello

Gabriel Coello is an IoT Enthusiast and instructor, Software developer, Cybersecurity IT/OT specialist, Control and Communication specialist. He likes to develop technological solutions that promote innovation, sustainability and cybersecurity using open-source hardware and software, IoT, AI and the reuse of electronic components. Gabriel will show three projects:

Project 1 is an on-demand-controlled ventilation using an air quality detection sensor that presents real-time status on Arduino Cloud and turns on a fan when it’s necessary. Project 2: Development of an algorithm to detect if a conveyor belt is moving and there is a presence of raw material. Project 3: Six-wheeled explorer robot.

Speaker 3: Hendra Kusumah

Hendra is educator at Universitas Raharja in Indonesia who teaches computer science and also an enthusiast in IoT, TinyML, and Machine Learning.

He will show us an industrial servo valve tester using a dedicated hardware called labjack U6. Previously the software for labjack only runs Windows operating system and it could be bulky to carry around a windows laptop/cpu alongside with other components needed to test the for the servo valve tester. With this project the valve servo tester could be more compact and low power.

Speaker 4: Kasun Thushara

Kasun Thushara, an Application Engineer from the Seeed Edge group, will provide a demo for a smart parking solution using our products and partner platforms.

He will be utilizing the TinyML TensorFlow ML library for edge object detection, AWS IoT Core for cloud communication, and N3uron for the edge IIoT platform. The overarching theme is to demonstrate how Seeed Production develops solutions for smart cities and buildings.

Mark your calendar on March 14th, 17:00-18:30(UTC+8), we will choose three lucky participants on Linkedin to send Raspberry Pi 5! (Winners announced on 15th March). See you then!
