Grove-Gas Sensor (O₂) is a kind of sensor to test the oxygen concentration in air, which is based on the principle of the electrochemical cell to the original work. You can know clearly the current oxygen concentration when you output voltage values proportional to the concentration of oxygen and refer to the oxygen concentration linear characteristic graph. It’s very suitable for detecting oxygen concentration in the environment protection.

Note: The sensor value only reflects the approximated trend of gas concentration in a permissible error range, it DOES NOT represent the exact gas concentration. The detection of certain components in the air usually requires a more precise and costly instrument, which can not be done with a single gas sensor. If your projects aim to obtain the gas concentration at a very precise level, then we do not recommend this gas sensor.

If the current consumption of this sensor is around 130 - 200 mA, and the maximum allowable current drawn from any arduino pin/ Analog is around 40 mA, then how do you connect this sensor to A0? The controller will be damaged !. Could you please clarify this. Thanks

I posted two questions related this matter, you can find them in through the comments, they informed me that the range is between 130-200 mA. Could you please verify the exact range of the current consumption.

Thanks for you response . Actually I'm confused regarding the current consumption of this sensor . I read a comment at the same page from " info " about the same matter :: "What's the current consumption of the sensor when powering using 3.3V? Does the sensor have to be connected to a Grover Shield to function, or can it function without the shield?

More specifically, would it function if you connected the gnd to ground, sig to analog 0 of an arduino, vcc to current. Also if the original question stands, where would the nc pin connect to?

What's the output voltage at 25%, 20% and 15%?

According to the code, the concentration = Vout*100*0.21/2. So do a simple math, 25%--2.38V 20%---1.90V 15%---1.42V But this is just a theoretical value,cause the relation between concentration and voltage is not strictly linear.So the real value should be a little bit different

Yes, we support dilivery to Sri Lanka, it does not include import duties, you need to deal with import duties,please send email to order@seeed.cc , they will help you deal with the sample.

Could I solder the wire that attaches to this microcontroller to some pins on a "conflat flange" and have wires soldered on the other end of the pins and have those wires connect to an arduino? Would this work? Furthermore is there more information about the o2 sensor than the information that is already provided?
