What is Raspberry Pi Pico?

Raspberry Pi Pico is the first product using Raspberry Pi’s own MCU, the RP2040. The chip features two ARM Cortex-M0+ cores clocked at 133MHz; 256KB RAM and 6 dedicated IO for SPI Flash. Designed to be flexible while cost-effective, Raspberry Pi Pico has 2MB onboard QSPI Flash memory and gives you access to the 30 GPIO pins and a broad range of interfacing options.

The Pico board features a multifunctional castellated hole/pad design, allowing headers to be soldered onto the pads as commonly seen on development boards, or the entire board can be treated as a surface-mountable module. The modules are provided in a tape and reel format to further support SMT assembly.

Equipped with a MicroPython port, detailed documentation and easy installation, Pico is well suited for beginners. But Pico also has the power and flexibility to cater to professional users, whatever your application from machine learning, smart homes, wearables, to robotics.
