Artificial Intelligence and Internet Of Things Conference, Cameroon, patronage by IEEE Region 8 Entrepreneurship Committee

On March 8, 2025, in Yaounde, Cameroon, we proudly hosted the first AI-IoT 2025 event under the distinguished patronage of the IEEE Region Entrepreneurship Committee. This milestone event was organised by Our Seeed’s Ranger Dessap Loic, Tamko Clarence, Serge Ndoumin, and Victoria Fernandez, the IEEE entrepreneurship Ambassadors.

This groundbreaking gathering brought together over 100 participants, including students, professionals, researchers, startups, and government stakeholders, all eager to share a common goal: to share knowledge, learn, connect, and contribute to building a strong, sustainable tech innovation ecosystem in Africa.
Key Highlights from the Event
🌐 Bridging the Gaps in the Tech Ecosystem
The event provided a platform to connect students, researchers, and industry players, ensuring knowledge transfer and opening up real opportunities for collaboration between academia, startups, and tech companies operating in AI and IoT.

Participants experienced live demos and hands-on interaction with cutting-edge tools and platforms, including:

- Ministry of Posts & Telecommunications and Ministry of Scientific Research & Innovation: Government strategies in supporting AI and IoT innovation and infrastructure.

In honour of International Women’s Day, the SIPOH Tech Girls delivered a powerful session showcasing their innovations and emphasizing the critical role of women in shaping the future of AI and IoT.
🌍 A Launchpad for AI-IoT in Africa
This event marked the first major initiative under the IEEE Region 8 Entrepreneurship Committee, with many more to come through AI/IoT Cameroon!
