Description

Raspberry Pi 4 Model B is the latest product in the popular Raspberry Pi range of computers. It offers ground-breaking increases in processor speed, multimedia performance, memory, and connectivity compared to the prior-generation Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ while retaining backward compatibility and similar power consumption. For the end-user, Raspberry Pi 4 Model B provides desktop performance comparable to entry-level x86 PC systems.
This product's key features include a high-performance 64-bit quad-core processor, dual-display support at resolutions up to 4K via a pair of micro-HDMI ports, hardware video decode at up to 4Kp60, up to 4GB of RAM, dual-band 2.4/5.0 GHz wireless LAN, Bluetooth 5.0, Gigabit Ethernet, USB 3.0, and PoE capability (via a separate PoE HAT add-on).
The dual-band wireless LAN and Bluetooth have modular compliance certification, allowing the board to be designed into end products with significantly reduced compliance testing, improving both cost and time to market.

Note

Some changes updated on the Raspberry Pi 4 Computer Model B 2GB V1.2:

1. Besides the official USB Type-C cable, Pi 4 V1.2 is compatible with other Type-C cables as well.

2. Move the WLCSP SD card voltage switch to the top side to protect Pi 4 from damage.

3. Tweak the silkscreen to reduce solder bridging in manufacture.

Raspberry Pi 4 Add-ons

We've prepared lots of add-on for Raspberry Pi. All those hats, displays, cases, power suppliers, and other accessories will give the Raspberry Pi more features and possibilities. For Pi 4, we especially recommend the Grove Base Hat for Raspberry Pi, which links the Raspberry Pi to our Grove system, so you can easily use most of the Grove modules with your Raspberry Pi 4. Since the new pi changes the full HDMI interface into two micro HDMI ports, so you may need this Micro HDMI to HDMI Adapter to work with your HDMI display.

What is Grove?

No jumpers or soldering required, Grove makes it easier to connect, experiment, and simplify the prototyping process significantly. We have developed more than 300 Grove modules, covering a wide range of applications that can fulfill a variety of needs. Each one comes with clear documentation and demo code to help you get started quickly.

Please use this table on GitHub to check if the Grove modules and sensors are compatible with Raspberry Pi.

Raspberry Pi 4 4GB Kits

Kits are some accessories bundled together and are used for realizing specific functions. For the beginners, we offer you Raspberry Pi basic kit and Raspberry Pi starter kit to help you run up your Raspberry Pi first. If you want to do some little projects, you can take a glance at the Raspberry Pi Grove beginner kit. It contains many useful sensors for projects. However, if you are interested in building up a media center or setting up your own raspberry pi computers, you can pick up Raspberry Pi 4 media center kit or desktop kit.
