Seeed Studio at Meteorological Technology World Expo 2026: Advancing Weather Intelligence Together
Thank you to everyone who joined Seeed Studio at Meteorological Technology World Expo 2026! From 6 to 8 October at RAI Amsterdam, Booth H33 became a meeting point for conversations about professional weather sensing and connected environmental monitoring.
We were delighted to share our SenseCAP portfolio, demonstrate an industrial LoRaWAN weather station, and explore new opportunities with the global meteorological community.

Thank You for the Conversations at Booth H33

We were delighted to welcome visitors from around the world to Booth H33, including representatives from meteorological agencies, research institutions, universities, and companies across a wide range of industries. Your positive feedback on Seeed’s weather products was particularly meaningful in a setting where instruments are evaluated against the practical demands of professional observation. We greatly appreciated the opportunity to exchange perspectives with people who develop monitoring systems, conduct environmental research, and apply weather data in their daily operations.
These exchanges brought the broader requirements of environmental monitoring into focus. The true value of a weather monitoring solution lies in helping users connect weather data with real-world needs, make more precise and informed decisions, and improve efficiency across different work and everyday life. These are the application needs Seeed is committed to addressing through continued solution development. At the exhibition, we explored these considerations in depth with visitors representing diverse deployment scenarios and monitoring requirements, and our complete weather monitoring solutions received broad recognition and positive feedback.
Exploring the SenseCAP Weather Monitoring Portfolio
Our exhibition centered on the connection between field measurements and accessible data. The SenseCAP portfolio spans compact weather sensors, LoRaWAN environmental sensors, 4G-connected monitoring devices, and data loggers that connect compatible instruments to wireless networks.
Seeed helps project teams tailor weather monitoring to their specific applications. In agriculture, Seeed weather stations measure rainfall, air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, and solar radiation, providing local observations that support irrigation planning alongside soil sensor data. For renewable energy projects, Seeed provides wind speed and direction measurements for assessing local wind conditions, while solar radiation and air temperature readings help operators interpret changes in photovoltaic output. Through compatible LoRaWAN and 4G data loggers, or wired RS485 connections, Seeed enables these observations to feed into customers’ monitoring platforms and operational workflows.

Demonstrating Our Industrial LoRaWAN Weather Station in Meteorological Technology World Expo 2026
A highlight of the exhibition was our industrial LoRaWAN weather station, combining the SenseCAP S700-C with the SenseCAP S2100 LoRaWAN Data Logger. The configuration brings industrial weather sensing and long-range wireless data transmission together in a system designed for rapid field deployment.
In our video recorded at the expo, Application Engineer Bianca Pentagna Guimarães introduced the complete setup and explained how the weather sensor, data logger, and power connections work together. The demonstration made the deployment approach tangible for visitors evaluating a connected station for their own projects.
- Comprehensive local observations. The S700-C measures air temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure, wind speed, wind direction, radar rainfall, and solar radiation. It also provides sunshine duration, bringing atmospheric conditions and solar exposure into one compact instrument.
- Solid-state sensing for lower maintenance. Ultrasonic wind measurement and radar rainfall sensing eliminate rotating wind cups, mechanical vanes, and tipping buckets. With fewer moving components to service, the design helps simplify long-term outdoor operation.
- Protection for demanding sites. The IP66-rated enclosure supports exposed outdoor installations, while integrated heating helps manage ice and snow in cold conditions. The demonstrated setup includes separate connections for normal operation and heating power.
- A practical route to LoRaWAN. The S2100 collects the S700-C’s wired sensor readings and transmits them over LoRaWAN. With a suitable gateway and network in place, teams can bring weather observations from dispersed sites into their chosen data platform.
Seeed Application Engineer Bianca demonstrates in English how the S700-C weather station and S2100 DTU work together to form a rugged weather monitoring solution.

Seeed is committed to putting reliable local weather data to work for the people responsible for food production, clean energy, and community resilience. We carry this commitment into the engineering of our weather monitoring solutions. By simplifying field deployment and reducing maintenance demands, Seeed helps organizations sustain the observation networks behind their decisions, contributing to more responsible resource use, resilient infrastructure, and better-prepared communities.

Seeed Studio Joins HMEI
We are also pleased to announce that Seeed Studio has officially joined the HydroMeteorological and Environmental Industry Association (HMEI). The association connects equipment manufacturers, technology developers, and service providers across weather, water, and environmental monitoring.
For Seeed, membership creates further opportunities to exchange technical knowledge with the professional hydrometeorological community. We look forward to contributing our experience in weather sensing, wireless data acquisition, and edge computing, while sharing our successful case experiences or provide popular science explanations about meteorological technology.
The conversations in Amsterdam reinforced how much useful work begins with sharing practical experience. Through HMEI, we aim to continue that exchange and explore collaborations that make environmental observations more accessible and useful. Read our HMEI membership announcement for more on our participation and technical contribution.
