Image Sources

AI Image Generation

Use the AI image generation feature in the Seeedash app:

  1. Enter an image description
  2. AI generates a black-and-white image optimized for e-ink
  3. Preview and push to the device

Phone Album Push

Push photos from your phone’s album:

  1. Select “Album Push” in the app
  2. Choose a photo from your phone
  3. The app auto-converts the image to 4-grayscale format
  4. Preview and push

Image Format Tips

Since Sticky uses a black-and-white 4-grayscale e-ink screen, these image types work best:

  • High contrast images: Clear black-and-white images
  • Line art: Simple drawings, illustrations
  • Text images: Quotes, poetry
  • Sketches: Pencil drawings, line art

Image types with poorer results:

  • Color photos (detail lost in grayscale conversion)
  • Gradient images (4 grayscale levels can’t render smooth transitions)
  • Low contrast images

Set Boot Screen

You can set a favorite image as Sticky’s boot screen:

  1. Select the target image in the Seeedash app
  2. Tap “Set as Boot Screen”
  3. The image will display on next boot
