Common Issues
Device won’t turn on
- Confirm the device has power — connect the charger for 30 minutes and try again
- Long press the AI button for 5+ seconds
- If it still won’t turn on, use the reset hole for a hard reboot
Wi-Fi connection failed
- Confirm the Wi-Fi is 2.4GHz (5GHz not supported)
- Confirm the Wi-Fi password is correct
- Make sure the device is within reasonable range of the router
- Try restarting the router and reconfiguring
Abnormal screen display
- E-ink screens occasionally show ghosting — this is normal
- Manually trigger a full-screen refresh in settings
- If ghosting is severe, try restarting the device
Bluetooth pairing failed
- Confirm phone Bluetooth is enabled
- Confirm the device is powered on and in pairing mode
- Try turning phone Bluetooth off and on again
- Try restarting the device
Voice feature not responding
- Confirm the device is connected to Wi-Fi
- Confirm the microphone is not blocked
- Confirm mute mode is not enabled
- Try using in a quiet environment
OTA Firmware Update
Sticky supports OTA (Over-The-Air) firmware updates:
- Select “Check for Updates” in device settings
- Or check for available updates in the Seeedash app
- Download and install the update
- The device will automatically reboot to complete the update
Note: Do not disconnect power or operate the device during an OTA update.
Factory Reset
If the device has serious issues, try a factory reset:
- Use a pin to press the hidden reset hole
- Or select “Factory Reset” in system settings
- Factory reset will erase all user data and settings
Device Offline Alert
If the device is offline for an extended period, the Seeedash app will send an offline alert. Possible causes:
- Battery depleted
- Wi-Fi connection dropped
- Poor signal at the device location
