Wi-Fi Configuration

reTerminal Sticky connects to Wi-Fi with help from the mobile app. Once configured, the device can run independently without your phone staying connected.

Prerequisites

  • Seeedash app downloaded and installed
  • Phone Bluetooth enabled
  • Device powered on and in pairing mode
  • 2.4GHz Wi-Fi name and password ready

Note: Sticky only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, not 5GHz networks.

Setup Steps

1. Open Seeedash App

Launch the Seeedash app on your phone and go to the device management page.

2. Add New Device

Tap the “Add Device” button. The app will automatically scan for nearby Sticky devices via Bluetooth.

3. Select Device

From the scanned device list, select your Sticky device to pair.

4. Enter Wi-Fi Info

Enter your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi name and password in the app. The app will send the network info to the device via Bluetooth.

5. Wait for Connection

After receiving the Wi-Fi info, the device will automatically try to connect. Once connected, the screen will update with content.

Common Issues

Connection failed?

  • Confirm the Wi-Fi is 2.4GHz
  • Confirm the Wi-Fi password is correct
  • Make sure the device isn’t too far from the router
  • Try restarting the device and reconfiguring

How to change Wi-Fi?

In Seeedash app’s device settings, select “Change Network” and follow the prompts to reconfigure.
